About Us
Devon Ridge Farm
We are a 110 acre equestrian center offering boarding, training, sales and breeding of connemara, connemara x and sport horses in Alberta. In addition, we have active lesson and show barn where we go to hunter / shows with our horses and clients.
Devon Ridge Farm prides themselves on providing horses with quality attention in all aspects of their care and handling. You can relax in knowing that our caregivers have 25 to 50 years experience.
We welcome visitors and are located close to the Edmonton International Airport Our facility consists of a 70 x 160 ft indoor heated arena, two outdoor arenas, heated barn, etc. and farm is situated close to river valley trails for those wanting to go offsite.

Jocelyn Davies - Farm Manager
Jocelyn has a lifetime of experience in breeding, training and development of young horses and children. She is passionate about her connemara breeding program and loves to show visitors her breeding and youngstock. Jocelyn teaches the Ladies
Lesson Program as well as manages the Beginner Lesson Program.
Michele Andresen - Horse Trainer
Michele came to our farm a few years ago and we are so happy she has decided to stay on here. She puts a solid foundation both on our and outside clients' young training horses making them very desirable for their future riders. Michele specializes in Sales Prep too! Please enquire if you are interested in marketing your young horses.
Megan Davies - Competitive Program Coach
Megan is our Head Coach and can teach any level of rider or horse, being able to finish and bring a horse up the levels in show jumping (hunters too!) Megan takes her students in this competitive program to shows within Canada as well as the USA.
Lauryn Cuku - Beginner Lesson Program Instructor
Lauryn has been teaching our Beginner Lesson Program and Summer Camps for a couple years now, but she also has been a long time Devon Ridge Student as well. Lauren teaches the Wednesday after school / evening classes, starting with total beginners and the last lesson being advanced beginners.
Taryn Husky - Lesson Program Instructor
Taryn came to Devon Ridge Farm in October of 2025 and we are so happy to have her professionalism, expertise and
knowledge . Taryn teaches Dressage basics but also has experience in jumping and eventing in her past. Lessons with Taryn are on Saturday mornings and students must be totally independent.
Bob Davies - Maintenance Manager
Bob is the glue that keeps this place working. He is the reason the grass is always trimmed, fences fixed, rings harrowed, hay stacked etc.

Our Clients
Our Clients are the biggest part of the team here at Devon Ridge Farm!
Horse Boarding
We offer outside paddock board (some pasture too!) with separate pens for mares/geldings. Keep group pens small 3 to 4 per pen. Special diets are welcome. Experience with older horses and Cushing horses as well. We offer unlimited hay as required and have automatic heated waterers year round. Come for a tour!

Lessons
We have Beginner Lessons to Advanced Level Rider Lessons on our horses or your own! Several coaches to choose from. We haul to shows too!

Horse Shows
Many of our students and clients show in the Alberta Circuit but we also go out of province and to the USA for some jumper shows. We can arrange hauling too.

Devon Ridge Farm offers a progressive learning system where the students learn horsemanship as well as riding skills. We want them to develop good riding habits and skills so that they progress in any discipline they should desire in their future. We also encourage responsibility and kindness towards fellow students, instructors and the horses. .
Camps will include riding lesson every day, learning about the daily care of horses and tack as well as ground work, games, and of course LOTS of FUN!!! We will also be putting the students in applicable groups so that they all can be challenged appropriately depending on their abilities.

Required items to bring to camp:
​
Proper footware – Boot with a heel
Riding Helmut – (unlike other years, insurance requires students to have a certified helmut that fits well for the safety of your child) Spruce Grove Feeds, Greenhawk as well as any Tack store can supply and help your child to be fitted correctly.
Bring a Lunch, Snack and Water
Dress appropriately for the weather (including sunscreen and bug spray).

Horse Training
Devon Ridge Farm offers Horse Training to outside clients as well as training and developing our own youngsters. We have had success developing from unstarted horses to all the way to advanced levels of training. We have two trainers working full time. Feel free to contact if you would like further information on our training program.
Horse Sales
Devon Ridge Farm breeds, raises and trains connemara and Irish Sport horses and crosses as well as a few warmbloods. We have youngstock for sale at all times and sometimes we have fully trained show horses as well. Contact us to check out our current offers.
We also offer to broker sales to our clients who have their horses in training at Devon Ridge, Sales packages with pictures, videos, showing etc. is available. Please contact for more information.
Connemara Stallion
We can offer Connemara Stallion stud service to mares both by Shipped cooled and Live cover depending on Stallion.
